RUSL Researchers officially launched the ECLIPSE project

Ensuring partnership with all stakeholders

ECLIPSE is entirely based on the concept of community engagement and involvement (CEI). This local ECLIPSE community involves a wide range of stakeholders. The ECLIPSE launch event was a formal introduction and launch of the project.

Provincial and Regional Directors of Health Services from the North Central Province and Anuradhapura District, together with a range of public health professionals participated in this event.

Learning from the community

ECLIPSE will explore the context specific practices, beliefs, stigma, perceptions and practices related to cutaneous leishmaniasis (CL). The project will be initially launched in three selected communities in the NCP. The aim of the first phase is to develop community centered interventions to improve CL patient journey.

ECLIPSE is a four-year healthcare programme which aims to improve the CL patient journey and reduce stigma in the most marginalised and underserved communities in Brazil, Ethiopia and Sri Lanka.
